Cardiovascular Disease

What If I Get Sick?

If you have a cardiovascular-related health emergency, do not hesitate to seek help.

If possible, first attempt to contact your primary care physician or primary cardiologist remotely first, then seek further help based on their recommendations.

Because you are at a higher risk of serious complications from COVID-19, it is important you isolate yourself and contact your health care provider immediately if you have symptoms such as:

  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Hard time breathing

Call 911 if you have a medical emergency. Tell the 911 operator that you have, or need to be tested for COVID-19. If possible, put on a face mask before emergency medical services arrive.
